Since July 2022, Dr. P.Mantashyan has served as the Head of the research group of "Quantum Optics and NanoPhotonics" at the Institute of Chemical Physics of NAS RA. Concurrently, Dr. Mantashyan holds a position as a Lecturer at the Russian-Armenian University.

She began her academic journey as a Master's student in the Department of Optics at Yerevan State University, where she obtained her Master's degree in Physics. Subsequently, Paytsar pursued her Ph.D. at the Institute for Physical Research of NAS RA, specializing in Laser Physics. In 2014, she successfully defended her Ph.D. thesis titled "New Laser Methods for Induction of Two- and Three-dimensional Photonic Structures in Photorefractive Media."

Throughout her career, Paytsar has served as an author/co-author of 25+ scopus-cited research papers and has been involved in 10+ research international and national projects. 

Notable among these are her roles as Work Package Leader at the H2020 WIDERA Twinning NanoQIQO project (2021-2024) and the Co-Principal Investigator for the project "Multifunctional exotic semiconductor quantum dot - liquid crystal composites for quantum technology applications" under the supervision of Prof. Kristiaan Neyts (The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, China) and Prof. Jeroen Beeckman (Ghent University, Belgium).
